Staff 50/50 Payroll Draw – FAQs
How much does a ticket cost?
You can purchase one ticket for $5, three tickets for $10, ten tickets for $20 or our new 40 for $40 option.
How do I buy a ticket?
Fill out the Enrollment/Change form found on the BRHC Foundation web page at www.brhcfoundation.ca.
Complete the form and send it to the BRHC Foundation via fax, email, inter-departmental mail(CS1-122), or in person. This is NOT a fillable form – please print a copy, complete it, sign it, and send it! Enrollment/Change forms must be received at least two weeks prior to the draw to be entered into the next draw. The amount of $5, $10, $20 or $40 will be taken off your paycheque, depending on what you select, Brandon Foundation 50/50 will be the deduction code on your pay statement.

Where can I find the Enrollment/Change form?
The Enrollment/Change forms are located on the BRHC foundation web page at www.brhcfoundation.ca. Paper copies are located at the BRHC Foundation office which is located on the main floor of the BRHC(CS1-122) (or call 204-578-4227).
Do I have to fill out an Enrollment/Change form for every draw?
No. Once you have filled out the Enrollment/Change form and sent it in, you are enrolled for every draw. If you wish, you can submit the Enrollment/Change form again indicating you would like to cancel your enrollment or change your ticket choice for the PMH Staff 50/50 Payroll Draw.
How do I get my ticket(s)?
Your ticket(s) will be emailed to you on the Tuesday prior to each draw. Please be sure to fill out the form with your email marked very clearly so that you receive your ticket(s). Your ticket(s) will be emailed from the third party provider, Funding Change. An email address is mandatory for enrollment. If you do not receive your ticket(s) to your inbox, please check your spam/junk email for the email from Funding Change.
How is the winner picked?
The winner will be picked on the Wednesday following paydays, at 2:00pm. The draw will take place in the BRHC Foundation office in the Brandon Regional Health Centre, with the service provider Funding Change, using electronic randomization equipment, approved by Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Authority (LGCA) of Manitoba.
How will I know if I won?
The winner will be contacted by email and/or telephone. The winner’s name and picture will also be printed in Prompt, on the Foundation’s social media platforms and your name listed on the BRHC Foundation website and posted in the BRHC.
I work casual, am I still able to buy tickets?
Yes, you can fill out the Enrollment/Change form and submit it to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation. You will only be entered in the draws when you receive a pay in the previous pay period. If you have not worked a shift within that pay period, you will not have received earnings to have your ticket amount deducted, and will not be entered into that draw.
Note: If you retire and return as a casual employee in PMH you must fill out a new enrollment form.
I live in Saskatchewan, but work in PMH why can I not buy a ticket?
According to the LGCA of Manitoba, you must be a resident of Manitoba to participate.
I work for Shared Health am I able to participate in the draw?
According to LGCA of Manitoba, you must be an employee of PMH to participate in the draw.
Do I have to sign up for a whole year at a time?
When you initially fill out and submit your Enrollment/Change form, you are enrolled for every draw; however, you can opt out at any time. To cancel your enrollment you need to fill out the Enrollment/Change form indicating you would like to cancel your 50/50 payroll draw deduction, and then send the form in to the BRHC Foundation Office at least two weeks prior to the draw date.
Can I change my ticket choice?
You can change your ticket choice at any time. You need to fill out the Enrollment/Change form indicating you would like to change your 50/50 payroll draw ticket choice, and then send it in to the BRHC Foundation at least two weeks prior to the draw date to be entered into the next draw.
Can I re-register if I cancel?
Yes, fill out the Enrollment/Change form and send it in to the BRHC Foundation at least two weeks prior to the draw to be entered into the next draw.
Can I sign up any time throughout the year?
Yes, fill out the Enrollment/Change form and send it in to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation office at least two weeks prior to the draw to be entered into the next draw.
Can I buy more than one ticket per draw?
Your options are one ticket for $5, three tickets for $10, ten tickets for $20 or 40 for $40.
Where do the proceeds of the draw go?
Half of the proceeds of each draw goes to the winning PMH Staff member, the other half goes to the BRHC Foundation for the purchase of equipment to benefit patients requiring care at BRHC.
What is the BRHC Foundation?
The Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mission is “Through Partnerships, to raise and steward funds to enhance care and community impact at the Brandon Regional Health Centre” and to benefit all who are served at the Brandon Regional Health Centre.
Who is organizing the draw?
The BRHC Foundation is the organizer and LGCA is the license holder.
When is the draw made?

How will I know who won?
The winner’s name will be published in prompt and listed on the BRHC Foundation website and on the social media platforms as well as posted at the BRHC.
If I win how do I receive my money?
You will receive your winnings by cheque. Arrangements can be made with the Executive Director of the BRHC Foundation (phone: 204-578-4226) to pick your cheque up at BRHC, or have your cheque mailed to you. Should a cheque not be cashed within six months from the draw date, the prize will revert back to the organization.
Do I receive a tax receipt at the end of the year?
No, just like purchasing any other 50/50 ticket, you will not receive a tax receipt.
