FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – November 12, 2025
Brandon, MB – The Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation (BRHC Foundation) is proud to announce a generous donation of $115,000 from the Brandon Area Community Foundation (BACF) through their community grants program. This contribution supports the BRHC Foundation’s capital campaign, A Foundation for Care, which is raising funds for the construction and equipment needs of the new Critical Care Centre at the Brandon Regional Health Centre.
The new Critical Care Centre will provide an expanded and modernized space to enhance patient care, safety, and recovery for those requiring intensive and specialized critical care services. Construction is currently underway, with the facility expected to open for patients in early 2026.
“This contribution from the Brandon Area Community Foundation brings us closer to completing a project that will enhance patient outcomes and strengthen healthcare in Westman,” said Stacy Senkbeil, Chairperson for the BRHC Foundation Board of Directors. “We’re proud to see our community investing in such a vital project.”
Through its grants program, the Brandon Area Community Foundation supports projects that strengthen the community and improve quality of life for all residents. Their donation to the BRHC Foundation marks their single largest grant in their upcoming 2026 grant cycle.
“We were pleased to invest in the Foundation for Care Campaign because the community deserves quality facilities – and we will all need healthcare services at some point in our lives,” said BACF President Marc Alain. “The ICU spaces within the new building at Brandon Regional Health Centre will provide the latest equipment and infrastructure to support people in our region who need critical care.”
“We encourage the community to step forward and support the campaign as the BRHC Foundation team and volunteers work to complete this valuable community asset.”
